St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Students earn first place in math tournament

Students in the Gifted Program at St. Bernard-Elmwood Place City Schools participated in the Perennial Math Problem Solving Tournament at Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, October 28th.

Congratulations to the following students for earning top honors:

Team Competition - 1st Place:
Nick Baker - 8th grade, Gavin Barrett - 7th grade, Drake Johnson - 7th grade, Izaya Mayle - 7th grade, and Summer Hill - 6th grade

Individual Competition - 1st Place:
Nick Baker - 8th grade

Individual Competition - 3rd Place:
Izaya Mayle - 7th grade

Ms. Clemons appointed board member to the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017, the Hamilton County Commissioners appointed Ms. Karen Clemons, St. Bernard Elementary Principal, a new board member to the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.

Ms. Clemons will serve a seven-year term in the volunteer position.

Congratulations, Ms. Clemons!

Fall In To Spirit Week @ Jr./Sr. High School

Prom Committee will host a "Fall In To Spirit" week with a dress down week and a girls volleyball vs staff tournament.


Volleyball Tournament on Friday, November 3rd at 1:30 p.m. - Volleyball tournament for girls in grades 9-12 - The winning team will play the faculty

Game 1: 9th vs 11th (1:40-1:50 p.m.)
Game 2: 10th vs 12th (1:55-2:05 p.m.)
Game 3: Winners of game 1 vs winners of game 2 (2:10-2:20 p.m.) Awards/Recognition Ceremony (2:30-2:35 p.m.)
Game 4: Winner of game 3 vs Faculty (2:40-2:50 p.m.)

Letter to Jr./Sr. High School Parents/Guardians regarding Viral Meningitis

Dear SBEP Parent/Guardian:

 We were informed today that a staff member was diagnosed with viral meningitis. While this can be concerning to you as a parent, the chance of your child or you becoming ill with this disease is very small. Viral meningitis is not the same as bacterial meningitis. People who get viral meningitis usually recover completely with rest and fever-reducing medicine. The following information will help you understand viral meningitis: 

LaRosa's Fundraiser to Benefit SBEP Athletic Department

The Athletic Department and the St. Bernard Larosa's have partnered for an easy fundraiser and we are asking for your help.

Order lunch or dinner at St. Bernard Larosa's on Wednesday, October 25th, between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. and show the attached flyer and the Athletic Department will receive 15% of all sales during the day. The key though is to show them the flyer for us to get credit!

Please help spread the word and forward the flyer on to as many people as you can!!

Broadcast schedule for the Varsity Football game on 9/28/17

The Titan Football game against New Miami on Thursday, September 28th, was broadcast on ICRC-TV. Anyone interested in catching the game on Spectrum or Cincinnati Bell can do so on September 29th, September 30th, October 4th, or October 5th.

The HS Volleyball match at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is now being played at:
4:30 p.m. - Junior Varsity

Titan Trek permission slips due by Monday, October 2nd.

A message from Titan Fan Club:

The Titan Fan Club Titan Trek Committee would like to remind all St Bernard-Elmwood Place Elementary parents that Titan Trek permission slips and money raised towards prizes are due by Monday, October 2nd.

A huge thanks to all of our individual and business sponsors! We were able to collect the first $5 for every elementary student. All students are sponsored to walk Friday, Oct 6th, but they must have a signed permission slip.

Building design presentation to the Board of Education on 9/27/17 @ 5:45 p.m.

The construction management and design teams are preparing the schematic design estimate for presentation to the Board of Education and OFCC at the September 27th Board of Education meeting. Civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology, and food service planning are all part of these preparations. Once the Board of Education has approved the schematic design, the design team plans to resume meetings with the school planning teams.
